Question of the Day: Why Not Buy NOW?

In spite of economic woes, and in spite of the many other options we are providing, we would like to encourage you to consider a few under-the-radar items that may make actually purchasing now at Zillah Lakes a more attractive option.

• Project Success: Doubts about the Zillah Lakes project outcome (in spite of national housing woes) have essentially been put to rest: Bank financing is assured, the golf course is underway, the Sheriff’s Office is operational, and we are poised to add clubhouse and recreational amenities this year.
• Home values: Yes, if you sell now, you won’t get all the value you used to have in your home. But on the other hand, house values in many areas are still falling, where Yakima’s values increased last year and have been stable through the recession. We never had a “housing bubble.” If you cash in your home, even for less than you hoped, and purchase at today’s low prices and interest rates in Zillah Lakes, you might find that for home equity growth and enduring value, it’s one of the best decisions you can make.
• Equity Growth. Also, Zillah Lakes is uniquely poised — above most other options — to add equity and value. Where other properties’ equity depends on rising general values, a Zillah Lakes home will have added equity for each amenity in the project: the golf course, the clubhouse, tennis courts, businesses on the plaza, the Sheriff’s substation — all add equity in your home.
• A Low-Risk Way to Get ON with It. No doubt, many people have been “frozen” by the current state of the economy, but a purchase at Zillah Lakes is not a lifetime financial commitment. Our history shows that sales, leases, and short stay vacation rental are all viable options for a home at Zillah Lakes, should you need to adapt to new circumstances after purchasing. After all Zillah Lakes is the only serious wine-country resort in the Yakima wine country.

So, consider buying NOW. Current mortgage rates are much more beneficial after two years of ownership than the tax-credit program. These historically low rates are starting to inch up as the economy improves, and may only be available for a short period of time.

• Reserve your lot: You can reserve a lot for up to a year either as a reservation for a specific lot, or a priority number for selecting lots as they are developed in Phase IA. All lot reservations deposits are fully refundable.
• Lot Purchase (80% Lot Financing Available): To lock in the eye-popping prices on currently developed lots, invest NOW in the lot you want, and build when the economy turns around. Do the math! There will almost certainly be significant gain in lot value once the golf course and amenities are installed. Ask about how you can get in for as little as $5,000.
• Lease-Option (Move in now...first six months lease payments credited at sale). Sign up on a new home with a six-month to one year lease. The first six months of your lease payments will be credited to closing costs or builder extras. Lock in today's prices, without any obligation to purchase. You can even spec a NEW home to your preferences and occupy on a Lease/Option.
• Short-stay Executive Lease: You can lease a beautiful new house over a short term while you decide on where you may settle permanently. We think, once you get a taste, that place will be Zillah Lakes. We'll even give you 3 months lease payment credits at purchase to help with closing.
