Fall Harvest/Tour of Homes
Experience Yakima: the place Yahoo and Business Week selected as "one of the top five places in the USA to start over" based on housing stability, affordability, job growth, and opportunity.
This weekend (9/12 & 9/13) or next weekend (9/17 & 9/18) are great opportunities to see a variety of homes from some great Yakima homebuilders. It's the Yakima Tour of Homes and it can give you a great glimpse into the differences and similarities of many local builders. Zillah Lakes represents "affordable luxury" pricing, but we think you'll find the workmanship & features to be equal or better of anything on the tour.
So we invite you to see all the rest, then come back and BUY the best!!!
Our Sign Is a Very Nice Sign
Now that it's finished, we want to say this: WE LOVE OUR SIGN. It features our famous logo, an elevated sun on tile backsplash, two waterfalls and a vineyard, bringing all the elements of wine country together. At night, lights play in the fountain, as the logo recedes.
We inaugurated the sign in July (along with our nature trail and street lighting) and its receiving a LOT of notice. As we move out of the hot weather, we'll begin planting the vineyard.

Our monument entry sign: grapes to be planted this month!
Zillah Lakes End-of-Recession Special! New home in Zillah Lakes starting at $185,000.
Our pain is your gain! The national credit freeze has frozen out financing for our golf course this year. Tough for us. But if you combine this with historically rock-bottom mortgage rates and stimulus buyer bonuses and you have what may be the OPPORTUNITY OF A LIFETIME.
Since we can't yet announce the golf course, we are selling a limited number of (future) golf-course homes at prices very near to what you would pay to buy a standard home anywhere in Zillah!
Starting at $185,000 these homes introduce a new furnishing level (Pinot) that allows us to combine value-engineered homes with bonus level lot pricing for breathtaking deals. For you, this means virtually NO downside risk, and a breathtaking upside potential. In addition, if you write up a non-contingent presale purchase & sale agreement for one of these homes during the Tour of Homes (before 9/21), we'll take another $5,000 off the purchase price!
This opportunity is sure to last only a limited time: the economy is recovering, sales are up, desperation is down, so there will not be much time to buy at this level. Based on current credit conditions, we expect that we'll be able to proceed with the golf course sometime next summer or fall — at which time our entire pricing structure will change. So act quickly: we have allocated only seven lots for this pricing break!
If you can't make it to the Tour of Homes, but you'd like to hold your place, let us know right away — a $500 refundable lot reservation buys you two weeks to complete a purchase & sale. 1-800-942-2032.
Fall in Love with Yakima Fall
If you are ready to visit Zillah Lakes to investigate a new home purchase, you couldn't pick a better time than fall. The lakes like mirrors, reflecting the changing seasons and ever-changing bird life getting ready for migration. The leaves are yellowing along the nearby Yakima river, and the amazing harvest of Yakima is showing up in fruit and produce stands around the area (there's an organic produce stand a few blocks from Zillah Lakes). Wineries are evaluating when and which grapes to pick, getting ready for the grape crush in early October.
This, too is amazing fly-fishing, hunting and hiking as summer ends and the cool nights of fall start painting colors throughout the highland valleys.
Yakima is also the entertainment capital of wine country, with harvest celebrations throughout the valley throughout September culminating in the amazing Central Washington Fair. The largest fair in Eastern Washington not only features local livestock, fruits & produce, but also boasts a stunning rock & country music line-up (Sept. 25-Oct 4).
The Fresh Hop Ale Festival (Oct 3) provides a setting to highlight another of Yakima's treasures: the hops that it grows and exports to fuel the best tasting beers in the world (we supply about 40% of the world hops) including a judging for the best artisan beer of the year.
Later in October, Crush & Concerts in the City, The Seasons Fall Music Festival features some of the top jazz and classical performers in the world (The Brubeck Brothers, Imani Winds, Matt Wilson, Dena Derose, Daron Hagen and a full professional chamber orchestra) (October 9-17).
The message: if you come over in the fall, book a few extra days to sample the treats, the festival, the gourmet restaurants, fine wines and the amazing music of the Yakima Valley in the fall! Check it ALL out HERE
Move-in Ready Homes Available Now!
Our lease-to-own and short stay rental programs at Zillah Lakes have proven amazingly popular. We only have a few more homes and a townhome left for the lease-option program.
While several of our homes featured last month have been sold, we still have eye-popping prices on a few homes that we've had too long. If you are looking for a value priced vacation home, or a home in wine country on which you can use your $8,000 first time homebuyer credit, these homes could be the bargain you've been looking for. There are only a few of these left: get them now.
To get exactly what you want, however, take the approach of specifying exactly the home and exactly the lot you want. A $500 deposit reserves your lot for up to a month, while we work out the details of a purchase and sale. Take advantage of this easy approach to getting the home of your dreams.
Model Homes Open every weekend
Of course the MAIN EVENT is that our model homes are open for viewing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of EVERY WEEK starting at 12:00 PM and ending at 5:00 PM. If these times are not convenient, please call 800-942-2032 to schedule an appointment.
