Zillah Lakes is planned for completion in eight phases over a 10 year period. A 224 acre property the community has, at its center approximately 20 acres of man-made lakes with potential for expansion. The lakes and associated waterways provide for non-motorized boating, kayaking streams and a significant wildlife habitat. The development has extensive open area consisting of nature and bicycling trails, small farming areas for investors and residents and vineyards..

At the hub is the Zillah Lakes Town Center. Among anticipated uses of the commercial spaces are a bistro, wine-tasting room, convenience store, coffee shop, boutique retailers and live-work office spaces. A Yakima County Sheriff’s substation is under construction. Negotiations are ongoing for a bed and breakfast clubhouse with a pool, tennis courts, workout facility and having a wine oriented focus.
